The perimeter of an isosceles trapezium is 134 cm and base are 54 cm and 30cm in length. Find the length of the nonparallel sides of trapezium and its area .

perimeter = 134cm
54 + 30 + x + x = 134
84 + 2x = 134
2x = 134 - 84
2x = 50
x = 50/2
x = 25
non parallel sides are 25cm each
by using Pythagoras
we can find height
that is 25^2 - 7^2
625 - 49
square root of 576 is 24
area of the trapezium = 1/2 * h ( a + b)
= 1/2 * 24 * 84
= 12 * 84
= 1008 cm^2
