Question

the perimeter of an isosceles triangle is 32 by 5 cm if the length of the equal side of the triangle is 5 by 2 cm each then find the length of the third side with diagram ?

Solution

Given :-

  • Perimeter of isosceles triangle = 32/5 cm
  • Equal side of triangle is 5/2 cm

Find :-

  • Third Side .

Explanation

we know,

In Isosceles ∆ ABC Have, two equal side & one different triangle .

So, Let Equal Side be

  • AB = AC = 5/2 cm

And , Third Side be x cm

So,

==> Perimeter of isosceles triangle = Sum of all side

==>Perimeter of isosceles triangle = AB + BC + CA

==> Perimeter of isosceles triangle = 5/2 + 5/2 + X

==> 32/5 = (10/2) + X

==> X = 32/5 - 10/2

==> X = (32*2 - 10*5)/10

==> X = (64 - 50)/10

==> X = 14/10

Or,

==> X = 7/5 cm

Hence

  • Third Side Of Triangle be (X) = 7/5 cm
