Explanation:

let let X be the exponent

therefore

equal side of the triangle=2*3x

base =2x

we know that perimeter of a isosceles triangle is =2a+b

2*3x+2x=32

6x+2x=32

8x=32

x=32/8

x=4

therefore equal side of the triangle=3x =3*4=12cm

base=2*4=8cm

semi perimeter (s)=perimeter/2

=32/2 =16cm

area of the ∆=√s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)

=√16(16-12)(16-12)(16-8)=

=√16*4*4*8=√4*4*4*4*2*2*2

=4*4*2√2=32√2=45.245
