the length of each side of the triangle

1 ½x+x+x=42

3/2x+x+x=42

7/2x=42

x=12cm

side=12cm

the height of the triangle

base^2+height ^2+hypotenuse^2

height ^2=12²-9²=63

height= √63=3√7

Area of the triangle

1/2 base ×height

1/2×18×3√7

71.28sq units
