Hi ,

Let length of the each equal side

of an isoseceles triangle = x

Length of the base = x + 11

Perimeter = 50 cm ( given )

x + x + x + 11 = 50

3x + 11 = 50

3x = 50 - 11

3x = 39

x = 39/3

x = 13

Therefore ,

13 , 13 , ( 13 + 11 ) are lengths of the

isoseceles triangle.

i.e 13 , 13 , 24

I hope this helps you.

Heya !!!

Let ∆ABC is an isosceles triangle.

In which,

Two equal sides are AB ,AC and BC is unequal side.

and Let

AB = AC = X cm

Then

Base (BC) = X+11 cm

Perimeter of ∆ABC = 50 cm

AB + AC + BC = 50 cm

X + X + X +11 = 50

3X +11 = 50

3X = 50-1 = 39 cm

X = 39/3 = 13 cm

BC = X+11 = 13+11 = 24 cm

Hence,

Two equal sides are 13 cm and one different side is 24 cm.

HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU....... :-)
