so, x+x+25=55

2x+25=55

2x=30

x=15cm

since it has a hypotenuse, the angle opposite to the hypotenuse will be a right angle thus the isosceles triangle is a right angled triangle.

so, area of the triangle will be (b*h)/2

=(15*15)/2

=225/2

=112.5cm²
