a+b+c=42, and c=3/2*a=>c/3=a/2, c=3/2*b.=> c/3=b/2, => a/2=b/2=c/3 so, a:b:c::2:2:3 also, a=2x (let) b=2x and c=3x => 7x=42 x= 6,
then the equal sides are a=12,b=12 and base is c=18.
now  apply formula, b/4 *sqrt 4a^2-b^2 = 27root 7 .
since the height of the isosceles triangle =median
base will be 9 and hypothenuse is 12 apply pythagoras
12^2-9^2= sqrt 63= height.
