Breadth = b

Perimeter = 2(l + b)

17 = 2(5 + b)

17/2 = 5 + b

8.5 - 5 = b

Side of square tile = 25 cm = 0.25 m

Number of tile used for flooring = Area of floor/Area of tiles

                                                     = 17.5 / 0.25

                                                     = 70

Rate of tilling = ₹ 850/100 tiles

Cost of tilling = (850/100) x 70

                      = 85 x 7

                      = ₹ 595
