The perimeter of isosceles is 32cm . the ratio of the equal side to its base 3:2 find the area of the tringle

Let the equal sides measure be "x"
And that of 3rd one be "y"

ATQ.
2x+y=32..............(1)

and x/y=3/2

=>2x=3y

Put it in first eqn!
we get
y=8
And x=12
Use heron'a formula to find the area

s=perimeter=8+12+12/2 =16
Area(Heron's formula) =root[s(s-12)(s-12)(s-8)]

Put value of s and

We get area

=32root2

Or u can solve it by drawing a perpendicular on base of length 8cm
And then use pythagoras to find height and use 1/2b.h
