Let,

• The the length of congurent sides of the isosceles triangle be x.
• The length of base of isosceles triangle be y.

According to the first condition,

⇛ x+x+y = 30

⇛ 2x+y = 30...........(i)

According to second condition,

⇛ x = y + 3

⇛ x - y = 3............(ii)

Solving equation (i) and (ii)

2x + $\cancel{y}$ = 30

x - $\cancel{y}$ = 3

⇛ x = 11

By substituting the value of x = 11 in equation (i)
