the perimeter of isosceles triangle is 48 cm if the length of the unequal sides is 17 cm find the length of the other two equal sides

perimeter =sum of sides
let equal sides=x
perimeter =17+2x
48=17+2x
48-17=2x
31/2=x
x=15.5

perimeter of a triangle = 48 cm
length of unequal side = 17cm
let the one equal side be x
length of two equal sides = x+x=2x

Perimeter of triangle = sum of all sides
48cm = 17cm + 2x
48cm - 17cm = 2x
31cm = 2x
31cm /2 =x
15.5=x
