Answer:

perimeter of quadrilateral = 46

AB = x + 8,BC = 2x + 1, CD = 3x - 6, and DA = 4x - 7

perimeter of quadrilateral = sum of sides

46= x+8 +2x+1 +3x-6 +4x -7

46= 10x- 4

x= 50/10

x= 5

smallest or shortest side is CD is 9 inch

Answer:

perimeter= (X+8)+(2x+1)+(3x-6)+(4x-7)

46 = 10x-4

50=10x

X=5

X+8 = 5+8=13

2x+1 = 2(5)+1 = 10+1 = 11

3x-6 = 3(5)-6 = 15-6 =9

4x-7 = 4(5)-7 = 20-7 = 13

the shortest side is CD = 9
