Double the breadth and subtract it from the perimeter you get the doubled length. Divide this doubled length with 2, you get length of the rectangle.

Doubling the breadth=2 (2 3/4) = 2(11/4)=11/2

Subtract this doubled breadth from perimeter, we get doubled length.

Doubled length= 13–11/2 = 26/2 -11/2 = 15/2

Now half of 15/2 is the length of the rectangle. =(15/2)/2 = 15/4 = 3 3/4.
