Answer:

Hi

Step-by-step explanation:

Perimeter of rectangle =2× (Length+breadth)----(1)

Given that ,

Breadth of rectangle = 4 cm.

Perimeter  of rectangle =24 cm.

Let length of rectangle = y cm.

putting the values of perimeter and Breadth in (1)

24=×(y+4)

⇒24=2y+8

⇒2y=24−8

⇒2y=16

⇒y=16/2

⇒y=8.

Therefore, the length of side rectangle is 8 cm.

Formula for finding Perimeter of a rectangle = perimeter of rectangle = 2 X ( length + breadth)

Given that,

Breadth of a rectangle = 4cm

Perimeter of a rectangle = 24cm

Length of a rectangle = y cm

Putting values of perimeter and breadth in equation. We get,

24 = 2 X ( y + 4)

24 = 2y + 8

24 - 8 = 2y + 8 - 8

16 = 2y

16/ 2 = 2y / 2

8 = y

y = 8

Hence length = 8 CM.
