Answer :

  • Length of rectangle = 9.6cm
  • Area of rectangle = 80.64 cm²

Given that :

  • The perimeter of rectangle is 36cm
  • Breadth of rectangle is 8.4 cm

To find :

  • Length of rectangle
  • Area of rectangle

Solution :

To find the length of rectangle we must use the formula of perimeter of rectangle and to find the area of rectangle we have to use the formula of area of rectangle

We know that

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

Where, l is length and b is breadth

Given perimeter of rectangle is 36cm

Finding the length of rectangle :

  • let the length of rectangle be l

➞ Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

➞ 36 = 2(l + 8.4)

➞ l + 8.4 = 36/2

➞ l + 8.4 = 18

➞ l = 18 - 8.4

➞ l = 9.6 cm

Length of rectangle = 9.6cm

Finding the Area of rectangle :

We know that

  • Area of rectangle = l × b

where , l is length and b is breadth

➞ Area of rectangle = 9.6 × 8.4

➞ Area of rectangle = 80.64 cm²

Hence , Area of rectangle = 80.64 cm²

  • Length of rectangle = 9.6cm
  • Area of rectangle = 80.64 cm²

Given :

{ }

  • The perimeter of rectangle is 36cm.
  • Breadth of rectangle is 8.4cm.

Find :

{ }

  • Length of Rectangle And Area of Rectangle.

{ }

\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

{ }

Solution :

  • First We Find Length of Rectangle :

{ }

We Know -

  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(l + b)

➣ Where l is length and b is breadth.

{ }

Now,

  • Let the length of rectangle be l.

Where,

  • \sf{\underbrace{\blue{Perimeter\:of\:Rectangle\:=\:2(l\:+\:b)}}}

{ }

\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\dashrightarrow\sf{\:36\:=\:2(l\:+\:8.4)}

{ }

\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\dashrightarrow\sf{\:l\:+\:8.4\:=\:{\dfrac{36}{2}}}

{ }

\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\dashrightarrow\sf{\:l\:+\:8.4\:=\:18}

{ }

\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\dashrightarrow\sf{\:l\:=\:18\:-\:8.4}

{ }

\:\therefore\:{\underline{\sf{Hence,\:the\:length\:of\:rectangle\:is\:{\textsf{\textbf{9.6cm }}}}}}.

{ }

\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

{ }

  • Now, We find Area of Rectangle :

{ }

We Know -

{ }

  • \sf{\underbrace{\blue{Area\:of\:Rectangle\:=\:l\:\times\:b}}}

{ }

\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\dashrightarrow\sf{\:9.6\:\times\:8.4}

\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\:\dashrightarrow\sf{\:80.64cm}^{2}

{ }

\:\therefore\:{\underline{\sf{Hence,\:the\:area\:of\:rectangle\:is\:{\textsf{\textbf{80.64cm² }}}}}}.
