let length= 3x ; and breadth=  2x

perimeter = 40cm

2[l+b] = 40 cm

2[3x+2x]= 40 ;2[5x] =40

5x=40/2 ;5x=20

x =20/5 ;x= 4

therefore, length =3+4=7 cm and breadth =2+4=6 cm

area = l*b

           7*6 = 42cm sq.

length of diagonals= \sqrt{6^2 + 7^}^{2}=\sqrt{85cm

9.21 cm
