the perimeter of rectangle is 40 m. the length of rectangle is 4m less than 5 times its breadth .find length and breadth

Let the length be x
Then width=2x-4

Perimeter=40m

2x  - 4 = 40
2x = 40 - 4
2x = 36
x =  \frac{36}{2}
x = 18


Width=18cm

Length=
x - 5 = 40
x = 40 - 5
x = 40
40 \div 2
 = 20
length=20cm
breadth/width=18cm
