the perimeter of rectangle is 40 m. the length of rectangle is 4m less than 5 times its breadth .find length and breadth

Then width=2x-4

Perimeter=40m

$2x - 4 = 40$
$2x = 40 - 4$
$2x = 36$
$x = \frac{36}{2}$
$x = 18$


Width=18cm

Length=
$x - 5 = 40$
$x = 40 - 5$
$x = 40$
$40 \div 2$
$= 20$
length=20cm
breadth/width=18cm
