Let,

Given that,

Formula for finding the perimeter of the rectangle is

2 (l + b)

Where,

• b = breadth

According to question :-

2 (l + b) = 48

→ 2 (14 + x) = 48

→ 14 + x = 48/2

→ 14 + x = 24

→ x = 24 - 14

→ x = 10

Hence, the breadth of the rectangle is 10cm.
