Answer:

let the lenght of rectangle be x

perimeter= 2(l+b)

2(x+9)=98

2x+18=98

2x=98-18

2x=80

x=80/2

x=40

length = 40

  • Here, Perimeter of rectangle = 98 cm
  • Breath of rectangle = 9 cm
  • So, we know that perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)
  • 98 = 2(l+9)
  • l+9 = 98/2
  • length = 49-9
  • length = 40cm
  • By paythagores theorem,
  • (length of diagonal)^2 = (length) ^2+(breath)^2
  • length of diagonal = √ (40)^2 + (9)^2
  • = √ 1600+81
  • = √ 1681
  • length of diagonal = 41 cm
