Given

  • Perimeter of rectangle is equal to the perimeter of the square.

  • Side of the square is 8 cm.

  • Length of the rectangle is 10 cm.

To Find

We have to find the breadth of the rectangle.

Solution

We know that,

\Large{\star{\boxed{\sf{Perimeter = 4 \times side}}}}

\sf{\implies Perimeter = 4 \times 8} \\ \\ \sf{\implies Perimeter = 32 \: cm}

∴ Perimeter of rectangle is 32 cm.

\rule{200}{2}

Now,

\Large{\star{\boxed{\sf{Perimeter = 2(Length + Breadth)}}}}

\sf{\implies 32 = 2(10 + Breadth)} \\ \\ \sf{\implies \frac{\cancel{32}}{\cancel{2}} = 10 + Breadth} \\ \\ \sf{\implies 16 = 10 + Breadth} \\ \\ \sf{\implies 16 - 10 = Breadth} \\ \\ \sf{\implies Breadth = 6 \: cm}

\Large{\star{\boxed{\sf{Bradth = 6 \: cm}}}}

➠ Given

Perimeter of rectangle is equal to the perimeter of the square.

Side of the square is 8 cm.

Length of the rectangle is 10 cm.

➠ To Find

We have to find the breadth of the rectangle.

➠Solution

We know that,

➠Perimeter = 4 × side

➠Perimeter = ( 4 × 8 )cm

➠Perimeter= 32 cm

___________________________

Perimeter=2(Length+Breadth)

\begin{lgathered}\sf{\implies 32 = 2(10 + Breadth)} \\ \\ \sf{\implies \frac{\cancel{32}}{\cancel{2}} = 10 + Breadth} \\ \\ \sf{\implies 16 = 10 + Breadth} \\ \\ \sf{\implies 16 - 10 = Breadth} \\ \\ \sf{\implies Breadth = 6 \: cm}\end{lgathered}

Hence,The Breadth = 6 centimetres
