The perimeter of rectangle of length 2 (x + 3) cm and breadth 2 (x + 1) cm is double the perimeter of a square of area 225 sq.cm. Find the area of the rectangle.

Answer:

Let the length be 3x and breadth be 2x.

Perimeter of square = 2(Perimeter of Reactangle)

120=2[2(l+b)]

5x=30

x=6

Therefore,

length = 18 m.

breadth = 12 m.
