Answer:

We know that perimeter of rectangle having length l and breadth b is given by

perimeter = 2(l + b)

In the given question perimeter is 100 m = 10000cm and length is 35cm

So,

100 00= 2(35 + b) \\  \\ 10000 = 70 + 2b \\  \\ 10000 - 70 =2b \\  \\ 2b = 9930 \\  \\ b = 4965cm = 49.65m

Now,

we know that area of of rectangle is given by

area = l \times b

so,

area = 4965cm  \times 35cm \\  \\ area = 173775 {cm}^{2}  = 17.3775 {m}^{2}

Answer:Given, Perimeter of rectangle sheet=100m

And length(l)=35cm

= 35/100 m

= 0.35m

We know,

Perimter of rectangle=2(l+b)

100m=2(0.35m+b)

100m=0.7m+2b

100m-0.7m=2b

99.3m=2b

99.3m/2=b

49.65m=b

b=49.65m

Area of rectangle=l×b

=0.35×49.65m²

=17.38m²
