The perimeter of rectangular Field is 294m . It's lenght and breadth is in ratio of 5:2 . Find its side and also the cost of wire required to fence the field , given the cost of 1m wire is 4.50rs.

given perimeter is 294m ,

let length be 5y and breadth be 2y

perimeter formula: 2(l+b)

here, 294 = 2(5y + 2y)

294 = 2 ( 7y)

294 = 14y

y = 21

so length = 21 x 5 = 105 m,

  breadth = 21 x 2 = 42 m

now, given 1m = 4.50 rs.

       therefore, 294m will cost:

                       294 x 4.5

                which is  1323 rs.
