the perimeter of rectangular plot is 32 metres if the length is increased by 2 metre and the breadth is decreased by 1 the area of the plot remains the same find the length and breadth of the plot​

Answer:

Let the length of plot be I

And, breadth of plot be B

1st case :-

Area = l x b

Lx B = 62 ........ (1)

2nd case :-

Length increased by 2m = (l+2)m

Breadth increased by 1m = (B+1)m

Area = l x B

(l+2)(B+1) = 62 ......... (2)

lB + l +2B + 2 = 62. [lB = 62]

l + 2b = - 2

l + 124/l = - 2. [ frm eq. 1]

l² + 124 = - 2l
