Heya friend !!

Given :-

Perimeter of rectangular shape garden = 340 m

Length = 5 m more than twice the breadth .

Breadth = Unknown

Forming terms :-

Let , length be 2x + 5

and , breadth be x

Formula for Perimeter :-

To find a perimeter , the formula is

=> 2×( L + B )

Answer :-

According to the formula ,

2× ( 2x + 5 + x ) = 340 m

=> 2 × ( 3x + 5 ) = 340 m

=> 3x + 5 = \frac{340}{2}

=> 3x = 170 - 5

=> x = \frac{165}{3}

=> x = 55

So, x = 55 .

Putting Values :-

2x + 5 = ( 2×55) + 5 = 115

x = 55

Final Answer :-

Length = 115 metre

Breadth = 55 metre

Hope it helps friend !

Answer:

  • The length = 115 m
  • The breadth = 55 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Let,

  • Breadth of rectangular shape garden = x
  • Length of rectangular shape garden = 2x + 5

The perimeter of rectangular shape garden is 340m.

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 (Length + Breadth)

⇒ 340 = 2 [(2x + 5) + (x)]

⇒ 340 = 4x + 10 + 2x

⇒ 340 = 4x + 2x + 10

⇒ 340 = 6x + 10

⇒ 340 - 10 = 6x

⇒ 330 = 6x

⇒ x = 330/6

x = 55

Breadth of rectangular shape garden = 55 m

Length of rectangular shape garden = 2x + 5

⇒ 2x + 5

⇒ 2 (55) + 5

115

Length of rectangular shape garden = 115 m

Therefore, length and breadth of rectangular shape garden is 115 m and 55 m respectively.
