HERE IS UA ANSWER:

GIVEN:

PERIMETER OF RECTANGLE= 120cm

LENGTH OF RECTANGLE= 40cm

THEREFORE BREADTH:

2 ( l +b ) = 120 cm

2( 40 + b) = 120cm

80 +2b = 120

2b = 120 - 80

2b = 40

b = 40/ 2

or b = 20 cm

HOPE IT HELPS..!!

We know that,

Perimeter of a rectangle-

\boxed2(l+b)

Given=>> Perimeter = 120 cm
Length= 40 cm
Breadth = ?

Therefore,

By the formula,

\boxed{2 (l+b) = 120cm}

\boxed{2 (40+b)= 120cm}

\boxed{40+b = 60cm}

\boxed{b = 20 cm}

So, by the above calculation we get 20 cm as a breadth of plant.
