perimeter of quadrant=12.5cm
perimeter of quadrant=πr/2+2r
12.5=r(π/2+2)
12.5=r (3.57)
r=3.5cm

area =πr²/4=9.616sq.cm

Given:

Circle,

Perimeter = 12.5 cm

To find:

Area

Solution:

By formula,

Area of the quadrant = π * radius^2 / 4

Perimeter of the quadrant = π * radius / 2+ 2 * radius

Substituting,

12.5 = π * radius / 2+ 2 * radius

radius = 3.5

Hence,

Area = 3.14 * ( 3.5 )^2 / 4

Area = 9.6 sq.cm
