★Given:-

  • Perimeter of square field = 8km

★To find:-

  • Area in hectares.

★Solution:-

We know,

Perimeter of square = 4(side)

Let 's' is the side of square.

Putting values in this formula,

➜perimeter = 4s

➜8 = 4(s)

➜s = 8/4

➜s = 2km

Hence,

The length of side of square is 2km.

Using the formula,

Area = (side)²

Putting values,

➜Area = s²

➜Area = 2²

➜Area = 4sq.km.

Hence,

Area of the square is 4sq.km.

We know,

1 sq km = 100 hectares

Then 4 sq.km will be,

➜4 × 100

400 hectares

Therefore,

The area of square in hectares is 400 hectares.
