Answer:

Let the side of square be a

perimeter of Square =4a

Given perimeter=56m

∴4a=56

a=14m

Area of square=(14m) ²

=196 sq.m

Area of rectangle=Area of square−8

=196−8=188 sq.m

Let the length of rectangle be 'l'

breadth be 'b'

Given l=16m

Area of rectangle=lb=188

⇒16b=188

b= 188/16

b= 47/4 m

∴ Breadth of rectangle= 47 /4 m.

Answer:

Explanation:

Perimeter of Rectangle= 2* (L+B)

                      56 meter= 2*(16m+B)

                    56meter/2= (16m+B)

                                 28= (16m+B)

                              28-16=  B

                               12     = Breadth

Checking

Perimeter of Rectangle= 2* (L+B)

                                     =  2*(16m+12m)

                                     =  2*(28)

                    Perimeter = 56 m

Hope it Helps
