Let the side be x

Perimeter= 4(x)
62 = 4(x)
62/4=x
15.5=x

Therefore the side of the square i.e. x= 15.5 cm.

Area= (side)^2

Area= (15.5)^2

Area= 240.25 cm^2

Therefore the area of the square is 240.25 cm^2.
