Given:

  • Perimeter of rectangle is 320 m
  • Length of rectangle is thrice of breadth

To find:

  • Area of rectangle

Solution:

Let breadth be x

So length of rectangle will be 3x

☆Perimeter of rectangle=2(L+B)

➠320m=2(3x+x)

➠320/2=4x

➠160m=4x

➠160/4=x

➠40m=x

So breadth of rectangle=x=40m

Length of rectangle=3x=3×40

=120m

As we know that formula to find area of rectangle is

Length×Breadth1

➠40m×120m

➠4800m²

So area of rectangle is 4800m²

  • Area of square=side²
  • Perimeter of square=4×Side
  • Area of ∆=½×base×height
  • Perimeter of ∆=sum of all sides.
