Answer:

rupees 2380

Step-by-step explanation:

The perimeter of rectangle = 2(length+breadth)

The perimeter of floor of rectangular room = 17 m

The length of the romm= 5 m

so

2(5m+breadth) = 17m

10m + 2 breadth = 17m

2breadth = 17m-10m

2breadth. = 7m

breadth. = 7/2 m = 3.5 m

Area of room floor. = length × breadth

so area of room floor. = 5m × 3.5 m

= 17.5 sq m

1m. =100cm

area of room floor (in cm) = 17.5×100×100= 175000 sq cm

The side of sq. tile. = 25 cm

the area of sq. tile. = side × side

the area of sq. tile. = 25 cm × 25 cm = 625 sq cm

total no. of tiles required. = area of floor/ area of tile

= 175000 sq cm/ 625 sq cm

= 280 tiles

cost of tiles. = 850 rs per 100

so total cost of 280 tiles. = 280/100×850rs

=2380 rs
