perimeter of the floor of a room = 46 m

let
l = length , b = breadth and h = height

2 ( l + b) = 46 m

l + b = 23 m

Find Area of the walls :

Area of the walls =2bh + 2hl

= 2h ( b + l ) = 2 h ( l + b )

= 2 × 3.5 ( 23 ) = 161 m^2

therefore ,

area of the walls of a room = 161 m^2
