12y-x+1=28 eqs --1

as the base is x+2y the other two side are eqaul as the triangle is isosceles so we have

4y=6y-2x+1

2y-2x+1=0. eqs--2

from eqs 1 and 2 we solve the fromula

multiple 2 in equation 1 and solving

24y-2x+2=56

2y-2x+1=0

sub the eqs we get

22y+1=56

22y=55

y=55/22=5/2

now put the value of y in eqs 2

5-2x+1=0

6=2x

x=3
