Step-by-step explanation:

2(a+b)=perimeter

2(5+b)=32

5+b=32/2

5+b=16

b=16-5

b=11 cm

Answer:

the given perimeter is equal to 32 cm

and,

one of its side is equal to 5 cm

as we know , the formula of the 2(a+ b)

where a and b are the adjacent side of the parallelogram

hence ,

2(a+b) = 32

( a+b ) = 32/ 2 = 16

a + b = 16

As we know the value of a is 5 cm

putting value of a in eqn

5 + b = 16

b = ( 16 - 5 ) cm

b = 9 cm

hence , the length of the adjacent side 9 cm.
