perimeter = 30cm

length = 9cm

breadth = b

using the formula of finding perimeter

perimeter of rectangle = 2( l+ b)

30= 2(9+b)

9+ b = 30/2= 15

b = 15 - 9 = 6

so the breadth of rectangle = 6cm

Given :

  • Length of rectangle = 9 cm
  • Perimeter of rectangle = 30 cm

To find :

  • Breadth of rectangle

According to the question,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(Length + Breadth)

  • l stands for Length
  • b stands for Breadth

Let the breadth of rectangle be x

30 cm = 2(9 cm + x)

→ 30 cm ÷ 2 = 9 cm + x

→ 15 cm = 9 cm + x

→ 15 cm - 9 cm = x

→ 6 cm = x

.°. x = 6 cm

So,the breadth is 6 cm...

_________

Verification :

→ Perimeter of rectangle = 2(Length + Breadth)

→ 30 cm = 2(9 cm + 6 cm)

→ 30 cm = 2(15 cm)

→ 30 cm = 30 cm

.°. L.H.S = R.H.S

Hence,verified !
