  • perimeter of square = perimeter of rectangle
  • Length of rectangle = 17m
  • Breadth of rectangle = 11m

To Find:

  • Area of square

Solution:

Perimeter of square = 4 * side

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

But, as they both are equal,

=> 4 * side = 2(l + b)

=> 4 * side = 2(17 + 11)

=> 2 * side = 28

=> side of square = 14m

Area of square = side * side

=> Area of square = 14 * 14 = 196m^2
