Given :

  • Perimeter of a triangle = 54 cm
  • Ratio of sides of the triangle = 2 : 3 : 4

To Find :

  • The length of three sides of the triangle

Solution :

Let the ratio constant be " x "

Then the sides are 2x , 3x and 4x.

Now , Perimeter of a triangle is given by ;

 \\ \star \: {\boxed{\purple{\sf{p = a + b + c}}}} \\

Where ,

  • a , b and c are sides

We are given that the peeimeter of the triangle as 54 cm

 \\ : \implies \sf \: 2x + 3x + 4x = 54 \: cm \\ \\

 \\ : \implies \sf \: 9x = 54 \: cm \\ \\

 \\ : \implies \sf \: x = \frac{54 \: cm}{9} \\ \\

 \\ : \implies{\underline{\boxed{\mathfrak{\pink{x = 6 \: cm}}}}}\:\bigstar \\ \\

Then the sides are ,

  • 2x = 2(6) = 12 cm
  • 3x = 3(6) = 18 cm
  • 4x = 4(6) = 24 cm

Hence ,

  • The length of the three sides are 12 cm , 18 cm and 24 cm
