We also know,

Putting values we get :

➝ 4x + 16 = 56

➝ 4x = 56 - 16

➝ 4x = 40

➝ x = 40/4

➝ x = 10

Now finding side of square :

⟼ Side of square = x + 4

⟼ Side of square = 10 + 4

⟼ Side of square = 14 cm.

Therefore, side of square = 14 cm
