The perimeter of trapezium is 150 m.
If BC = 60m, CD = 25 m and AD = 50 m. Find the area of trapezium ABCD.
It is given that side AB is perpendicular to the parallel sides AD and BC.

Answer:

Area of trapezium = 1/2 ×sum of two parallel sides × height

find AB..

sum of all sides = 150m

AB is the height

parallel sides are given

Length of the fence of a trapezium ABCD =150 m. BC = 60 m, CD = 25 m and AD = 50 m,

Length of the fence of a trapezium ABCD =AB +BC+ CD+ AD

150=AB + 60+25+50

150= AB + 135

150 – 135 = AB

AB= 15 m

Height (AB) = 15 m

Area of Trapezium

= 1/2 x sum of parallel sides x perpendicular distance

Area of Trapezium

= (1/2) (60+50) 15

= ½(110)(15)

= 55× 15

=825m²

Hence, the area of the field = 825 m²
