The perimeter of trapezium is 150m . If BC =60 m, CD=25 m, AD = 50m , find the area of the trapezium ABCD. It is given that side AB is perpendicular to the parallel sides AD and BC. ​

Length of the fence of a trapezium ABCD

= AB + BC + CD + AD

150= AB + 60 + 25 + 56

150 = AB + 135

150 - 135 = AB

AB = 15m

Height ( AB) = 15m

Area of trapezium = 1/2 × sum of parallel sides × perpendicular distance

Area of trapezium = 1/2 × (60+50)×15

= 1/2 × 110 × 15

= 55 × 15

= 825m²
