The perimeter of two similar triangles ABC and PQR are respectively 45 cm and 30 cm.If PQ=12 cm,find AB.

similarly,

  • perimeter of ∆PQR =30cm
  • PQ+QR+PR. =30 cm

it is also given that two triangles are similar,so we can write like this,

  • AB/PQ=BC/QR=AC/PR=45/30=3/2-----(1)

from (1),

AB/PQ=3/2

AB=3/2×PQ

=3/2×12

=18 cm
