Hello friend ,here is your answer

First let me give you some information about this:-

#In an isosceles triangle two sides are equal and rest 1 side is unequal

#perimeter of a triangle=sum of all sides

Now let us solve the question,

Let the third (unequal) side be x

According to the question,

23/4+23/4+x=18

46/4+x=18

x=18/1-46/4

x=72-46/4

x=26/4=6.5 cm

Therefore the third side of the isosceles triangle us 6.5cm

let triangle name be ABC ,therefore sides are AB, BC, & CA . let AB = AC=23/4 .

Now we know perimeter = sum of sides ...

we will take the 3rd side as x

now according to question

x + 23/4 + 23/4 ( sum of sides)=18(given)

x + 46/4 = 18

x + 23/2 =18

x= 18-23/2

x =(36-23)/2

x=13/2

hence the 3rd side is 13/2 or it can be written as 6.5
