96

perimeter of rectangle must equal to 40 since the side of the square = 10

2(l+b)=40

l+b=20

l=12 , b = 8

12 * 8 = 96

In-Depth Explanation

Perimeter of Square = Perimeter of Rectangle ok?

Area of Square = 100 so the length of its side is 10 because 100 square root = 10

Perimiter of Sqaure = 40 because 10 *4

Now we know the perimeter of Rectangle is 40

the formula for perimeter of Rectangle = 2 * ( length + breadth )

its given that length = 2 more than side of square so its 10+2 = 12 so

40 = 2 * ( 12 + breadth )

20 = 12 + breadth

Breadth = 8

Area = length * breadth

= 8 * 12

= 96
