let breadth be x cm

then length will be 2xcm acc. to question

area of rectangle =36 cm^2

l*b=area

xcm*2xcm=36cm^2

2x^2cm^2=36cm^2

2x^2=36

x^2=36/2

x^2=18

x=sqrt.18

x=3.30
