Length of the side of the 1st similar triangle = 8 cm

Let the corresponding side of 2nd similar triangle be x

We know that

Ratio of perimeters of two similar triangles = Ratio of their corresponding sides

⇒ 24/18 = 8/x

⇒ 8/6 = 8/x

⇒ x/6 = 8/8

⇒ x/6 = 1

⇒ x = 1 * 6

⇒ x = 6

Therefore the corresponding side of 2nd similar triangle is 6 cm.
