Question :--- The perimeters of two similar triangles ABC and PQR are 35cm and 45cm respectively, then the ratio of the areas of the two triangles is ________. ?

Theoram used :---

The ratio of the area of two similar triangles is equal to the ratio of the squares of the corresponding perimeter of similar triangles ...

Solution :---

It is given that , Perimeter of ∆ABC and ∆PQR = 35cm and 45.

So, using the above told Theoram .

Area ABC : Area PQR = (Perimeter ∆ABC)² : (Perimeter ∆PQR)²

→ Area ∆ABC : Area ∆PQR = (35)² : (45)²

→ Area ∆ABC : Area ∆PQR = 1225 : 2025

→ Area ∆ABC : Area ∆PQR = 25*49 : 25*81

→ Area ∆ABC : Area ∆PQR = 49 : 81.

Hence, Ratio of Area of ABC and PQR will be 49:81.
