The perimeters of two similar triangles are 30 cm and 20 cm. If one side is 9 cm long what is the length of the correct?

SOLUTION:-

If two triangles are similar then ratio of the perimeters of the triangles is equal to the ratio of their corresponding sides.

Let the required side be 'x

Following this theorem, just plug the values

 =  \frac{\cancel3\cancel0}{\cancel2\cancel0} </h2><h2> =  \frac{12}{x}  </h2><h2>\\  =  \frac{3}{2} </h2><h2> =  \frac{12}{x}  \\  =  x =  \frac{\cancel2\cancel4}{\cancel3}  \\  = x = 8

So required value of the corresponding side is 8 cm
