let the side be s
so 4s is equal to 8x of first square
and 4s is equal to 15x in second square
ratio = 8x:15x
=> 8:15
so 4s is equal to 8x of first square
and 4s is equal to 15x in second square
ratio = 8x:15x
=> 8:15

Perimeters of two squares are in ratio 8:15 then the ratio between the lengths of their sides is also 8:15.
Perimeter of square is 4a where a is side of square so we have:--
Let side of square 1= a1
Perimeter of square 1=4a1
Let side of square 2=a2
Perimeter of square 2=4a2
So perimeter of square 1/perimeter of square 2=8:15
So 4a1/4a2=8:15
Hence a1/a2=8:15.
Hence ratio of sides of square1 to square2 is 8:15.
