The perimetre of an isosceles triangle is27cm. If the equal sides are 3cm longerthan the base, then find the length of the sides of the triangle.​

perimeter = sum of all sides

27cm = x+2(x+3). ( x is the base and 2(x+3) are the equal sides)

27cm=x+2x+6

27-6=3x

21=3x

x=7

hence sides are

base=7cm

equal sides = 10cm ,10cm
